Product · BUILDCASTER

Give every customer idea a place to go.

A request arrives in a chat. Another arrives in an email. A third customer asks for the same thing next month. A feedback board gives those conversations a shared home your customers can actually find.

BuildCaster connects your Ideas list, Roadmap, and What’s new in one branded customer portal. The customer’s original request stays connected to the decision and the result.

A useful front door for feedback

Customers search existing ideas before adding their own. The submission form asks for a title and the problem or desired outcome, so you learn what someone needs to accomplish instead of receiving only a proposed feature name.

Verified participants can support an approved idea, add context in a comment, and follow progress. Voting and email following are separate choices. Someone can say “I need this” without signing up for announcements.

Review before you publish

New submissions enter Inbox. Until approved, they are visible to the submitter and your team. Clarify a title, ask a question, or compare a duplicate before making the idea visible to the portal’s permitted audience.

An approved idea starts a conversation. It does not create a delivery commitment. Your team controls which ideas become planned work and can explain why a request is not planned.

Use feature request management to handle that review consistently. The portal launch checklist helps you set expectations before you invite customers.

Your product’s identity, your access rules

Custom root domains and paths such as example.com/feedback are not supported. Keep your hosted address as the recovery link while DNS is being connected.

  • Set your product name, logo, welcome message, and accent color.
  • Start with a hosted address. Connect a custom subdomain such as feedback.example.com when you are ready.
  • Choose a public portal or require accepted email invitations. A public portal can be read without signing in; participation requires a verified identity.
  • Add a small feedback launcher to your site to open the portal. It is a link to the portal, not an embedded support inbox.

Keep the outcome next to the request

Move the same card through your public roadmap. When the work ships, link it to a release update and choose whether eligible followers should receive an email. Customers can see the chain from their need to your response.

The plan is $79 per month for one product, one portal, 5 teammates including the owner, and one custom subdomain. There is no per-voter billing. Try the workflow for 30 days before subscribing.
